The Arizona Cardinals have signed linebacker
Daryl Washington to a four-year contract, the team announced Friday. Financial
terms of the deal were not released.
Washington was Arizona's second-round pick, 47th overall, out of TCU.
He was a first-team All-American and earned All-Mountain West Conference
honors as a senior in 2009 after leading the Horned Frogs with a career-high
109 tackles along with three interceptions, two sacks and 11 tackles for loss.
Washington finished his college career with 220 tackles, 5 1/2 sacks, four
interceptions, six passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery
over 50 games (15 starts). He also blocked four kicks in his career, leading
the nation with three blocks in 2007.
