Open.
The fourth-seeded former world No. 1 Ferrero clawed his way past Uruguay's

Ignacio Chela fought off game Italian qualifier Simone Bolelli 7-6 (7-5), 6-7
(4-7), 6-1 in 2 hours, 42 minutes.
